Obituary of Marie BAIN (nee Segato)

June 20, 1931 – Aldershot, Ontario

September 25, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Marie passed away peacefully with family at her side on 25 September 2019, in her 89th year.

Marie was born June 20th, 1931 in Aldershot, Ontario. She loved being with, and helping people. She was extremely active well into her 86th year, curling, golfing, and assisting in numerous charity events. She was a member of the Canadian Naval Association (Corvette Club), Royal Canadian Legion, and an Honourary Life Member of the Calgary Garrison Curling Club. Her club activities, volunteer charity work and 50 years as an Avon representative made Marie many life long friends. For over 30 years, her cheerful smile was seen behind her regular table at the Sunnyside Flea Market.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Ted; and parents Giovanni and Angelina Segato (nee Stampone). She is survived by sons Ted (Holly) of Black Diamond, AB, John (Johanna) of Cranbrook, BC, and George (Laura) of Aurora, Colorado; grandchildren, Cheryl, Crystal, Cindy (Michael), Tammy, John (Lyndsey), Michael (Megan), Jeffrey (Jenna), Geordie, and Billie; great-grandchildren, Landen, Dominic, Finley, and Evelyn; and sisters, Cathee and Jackie.

Marie has asked that her ashes accompany husband Ted’s ashes when they are spread in the Atlantic Ocean.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on 25 October 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
