Condolences
We were so sorry to hear of Jeanne’s passing. We send our sincere condolences to the entire Shaw family. Today, I was trying to phone Jeanne to let her know that our Mom, Alice Haines had passed away. Our family’s friendship goes back a long way to 11th Ave NE. We kept in contact for many years at Christmas time with sharing of family photos. The last time Mom and I saw Jeanne was over lunch in the fall of 2010. It was a wonderful visit sharing old time stories. The Shaw names came up many times in the Haines household. Keep those memories close.

Although I didn’t know Jeanne, I would like to pass along my thoughts and prayers to all the people she touched in her life. We are distant relatives (5th cousins) and I have her name and some of her ancestors in my family tree records. If anyone in her family is interested in genealogy, please contact me. I’m more than willing to share any info I have that would be of interest to you.
My deepest condolences on the loss of your dear mum Jeanne. She was a very special lady & I looked forward to seeing her when she came in to the CHI. My hope for you is that family & friends will help you through this most difficult time.
Warmly,
Sheila Gurevitch
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. My Mother ( who has recently passed – Anny Hoogwerf) and my Father – Wim Hoogwerf spoke highly of Jeanne ( and Gardie) and enjoyed the many years of friendship that they shared through many activities and groups of friendship through McDougall United Church. Our hearts will be with you through this journey.
Wayne, Judy, Pam and families
I read Jeanne’s obituary and want to send my sincere sympathy. She was a wonderful partner to Gardie, mother, grandmother and friend. We have all heard the adventure stories she shared with my parents Wilma and Gerry. They all worked hard, raised their families and enjoyed their retirement years in Mesa. I am so sorry for your loss, but she will be remembered as a model of a gracious, kind and generous woman. She and Gardie were a large part of my youth and I will always remember the laughter.
Thinking of all of you with love, and so sorry that I cannot attend tomorrow’s service.
Lynn (Mooney) Willoughby
We offer our condolences to Jeanne’s family on the loss of such a loving and exemplary lady. Jeanne was so warm and accepting of all, and brought joy to many lives during her sojourn through life. We were fortunate to be the new owners of the wonderful DeWinton property which she and Garde loved so much. They will now be rejoicing in their reunion!
Treasure all the happy memories of a life so well lived.
Sincerely,
Vern and Denise Siemens
