Obituary of Blanche Agnes BUTLER

Blanche Butler of Calgary passed away on September 8, 2014 at the age of 99 years.
Blanche was born in Dundurn, SK then moved to Hanley, SK, where she met and married James Ernest Butler. Her later years were spent in both Saskatoon, SK then finally Calgary. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. Blanche loved games of all kinds and could play them for hours. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She also watched all sports on T.V. especially looked forward to the Olympic Games. Her last job was at the Petroleum Club in Calgary.
She will be remembered with love by her daughter Charlotte Rasmussen, son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Gayle Butler, son and daughter-in-law Calvin and Judy Butler, and daughter Jeannette Peebles. She was loved so much by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Blanche is survived by her sister Irene Johnson and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband James Butler.
A Gathering to Celebrate Blanche’s life will be held her 100th Birthday at Charlotte’s home (call 403-228-5245 for details) on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
