Obituary of Joyce Elizabeth HOWES

1928 – 2014 Joyce Elizabeth Howes, beloved wife of Lennon Patrick Howes of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Joyce was born on November 21, 1928 in Limerick, Ireland, to Lionel and Violet Watts. She met Len Howes in Limerick, Ireland, where they married and started a family. They immigrated with their four daughters to Montreal in 1963 and then moved to Bellefeuille, Quebec, where they continued to live until Len’s retirement when they moved to Calgary. Joyce will be remembered for her lovely spirit, her great sense of humour, and her devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren. Joyce is predeceased by her husband Len and her daughter Dawn Raven. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Greg Fawcett of Toronto, ON, Sandra and Angelo D’Amico of Montreal, QC, and Carol Howes of Calgary; nine grandchildren, Kim and Wendy; Nigel and Jeffrey; Marc, Ryan and Robert; and Jessica and Joshua and their father Mark Reynolds; and seven great-grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by her sister, Patsy, and her brother Lionel (Mike). A Private Family Prayer Service will be held.
