Obituary of Santina Palombi

November 1, 1931 – Terracina, Italy

March 30, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

With heavy hearts, the family of Santina Palombi announces her passing on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the age of 92 years.

Santina was born in Terracina, Latina, Italy, on November 1, 1931. She immigrated to Canada in 1961, moving to Calgary in 1975.

She is survived by her two daughters and two sons, Antonia (late Salvatore), Valentino (late Giuseppina), Franco (Cindy), and Conccettina (Luis); grandchildren Roberto, Livio, Gabriella (Alex), Armand (Melchora), Carmen (Chelsee), Cassandra (Danny), Armando, Arianna, Michaela (Jazz), and Alisa; and her great-grandchildren, Salvatore and Matteo.

Santina was predeceased in 2000 by her loving husband of 49 years, Armando Palombi. She was also predeceased by her mother Maria and father Alessandro, as well as two brothers and three sisters, son-in-law Salvatore Montalto, and daughter-in-law Giuseppina Palombi.

Santina spent most of her life as a seamstress, working most of her time with Calgary Tent and Awning until her retirement in 1996.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum (3219-4th Street NW, Calgary, AB).
