Obituary of James Errol Sinclair

Jim Sinclair, beloved husband of the late Margaret Sinclair, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the age of 91 years.

 

Born in Coutts, AB, on August 2, 1932, Jim was the son of the late Eileen and Gerald Sinclair. He attended and graduated from the Montana School of Mines with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Jim was a lifetime member of APEGA and volunteered with the Scouts, Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA. He was actively involved in various hobbies and activities including swimming, swim instruction, skiing, cycling, woodworking, and building.

 

During his career, Jim worked for thirty years and achieved great success. He also built his own house in Windermere once he retired, as well as built a working plane. He was a passionate and hardworking man and will be remembered for his dedication and determination.

 

Jim’s family were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by his son Craig (Stacey), and daughters, Dawne (Jeff) and Diane (Bill). He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Jillian (Jeff), Mackenzie (Terrance), Lauren (Andrew), Keven (Maggie), Graydon, Duncan (Shelby), Lachlan, Matthew, and Jake; as well as five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Charles, Chloe, Ella, and Blair.

 

He was predeceased by his wife Margaret, parents Eileen and Gerald, his sister Enid, and granddaughter Jenna.

 

Jim’s family will remember him for his kind heart, dedication to family, and unwavering determination.
