Condolences
It is with a sad and grateful heart to read of Phyllis’ passing. I did not know her well until I met her husband George through taking piano lessons at the same time as adult students. I had the privilege of playing piano at George and Phyllis’ home. They were always so gracious to have piano students visit and play George's grand piano and host Christmas recitals. After George died, I developed a friendship with Phyllis, and was delighted to purchase the grand piano from her that George had so warmly welcomed us to play. Phyllis and I stayed connected through visits, and going to classical concerts at the CPO, accompanied with my husband John for several years after as well. After we moved to Vancouver Island, I continued to exchange email and Christmas cards with her. She aways a lovely lady with a sweet sense of humor and though very quiet, would often surprise us with her quips and comments after a concert. I am so grateful she was in my life and to have spent time with her enjoying music, and a special friendship. My sincere sympathies to her family.
I knew Phyllis from our membership in Skrastins Outdoor Club. I loved to hike with her for her background of so many of the trails she knew. You would never get lost with Phyllis! I had no idea that Phyllis had so many other interests and talents but I remember that my husband Bruce knew and admired her as they both worked at Mount Royal University. My condolences to all of her family and friends. She will be sadly missed.

Dear Brian, Linda and family. My sincere condolences to you on the passing of your wonderful mother, Phyllis. I will forever remember her keen intelligence, quiet sense of humor and gentle, classy demeanor on the many Skrastins hikes I shared with her as part of our C group family. Rest in peace, dear Phyllis.
Anne Bloomberg.
Words cannot express the feelings going through my mind. My love and prayers to you, Linda, Brian, and families. Auntie Phyllis was always someone to admire and try to emulate.
Linda, Brian and families I send you condolences on the loss of your Mom/Grand Mother. Phyllis was the epitome of a kind and generous person as I have know. Phyllis and George opened their home to myself and Alex and Maddison after the passing of Chris and those memories remain as fresh today as they were in 1997. Time spent at the house in Calgary as well as time on the ski slopes of Sunshine, Louise and Norquay were memories of a lifetime for me and my kids. Time may not heal the wound of the loss of a parent but it will eventually dull the pain. I will be sending you my prayers for strength and comfort in this time of grief.
Kent, Alex and Maddison Watson
