I remember meeting Rob in the 80’s as a fellow landman and a fellow member of the downtown “Y”. We were young and ambitious in our new careers. Rob was a quiet and intense person and I knew he had a good heart. I have often thought of him over the years, always thinking he was a good man.

I never had the opportunity to meet Rob Jansen, I did however choose the Jansen family to be the parents to my son, Alex. For many years Robert would annually sneak onto our porch and place a letter and photos of Alex in our mailbox! I am eternally grateful to him from my heart! May his angel wings surround you all during this difficult time!
