Obituary of Roie Iris Hilland

December 29, 1943 – Victoria, British Columbia

April 16, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Roie Hilland peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the age of 80 years.

Known for her boundless kindness and generosity, Roie touched the lives of all who knew her. Her passion for travel took her to countless destinations, but it was cruising that truly captivated her heart. Roie’s adventurous spirit and zest for life will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though Roie has bid farewell to this world, her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends. May she find eternal peace in the loving embrace of those who have gone before her.

She is survived by her adoring children, Patti, Jay, and Jill, along with her sons-in-law Rick and Brad, and daughter-in-law Olga; grandchildren, Madison, Kaiden, Ellie, Blake, and CJ; and beloved sisters, Dawn and Roxanne. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Iris; as well as her beloved husband Wayne.

A Celebration of Roie’s Life will be held at the Cochrane RancheHouse (101 RancheHouse Road, Cochrane, AB), on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
