Obituary of Garth Dee Hunter

December 11, 1964 – Canmore, Alberta

April 15, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Garth Hunter, who made his journey home with his loving family beside him, on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the age of 59 years.

Garth will be greatly missed by his loving mother, Violet Beaver, whom he greatly cherished, his children, Holli (Andrew) Daniels and Laramie (Lorrie) Daniels; his siblings Greg (Arlene) Twoyoungmen, Gwen Benjamin, Michelle Beaver; as well as all of his grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Garth was predeceased by his father Nate Hunter Jr., his brother Darren Beaver, and sister Cynthia Beaver, his nephew Levi Holloway, and paternal grandparents Nat Sr. and Gertrude.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Garth Hunter and Violet Beaver (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at the Bearspaw Youth Center (Bighorn No. 8, AB T0L 1N0, Mînî Thnî, AB) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Goodstoney Cemetery (Mînî Thnî, AB). 

The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Foothills Hospital Special Services Unit.
