He graduated from North Battleford Composite High School and went on to work in a variety of professions including management consulting, and as General Manager of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association, before taking on his most recent role as Executive Director of the Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce. Kelly had a passion for hockey, football, baseball and other spectator sports. He also enjoyed vacations to Mexico and taking sports trips with his wife, Tracey.
One of their most memorable vacations was when they travelled to Dallas, Texas, for Week One of the 2014 NFL season, where Kelly's Dallas Cowboys faced off against Tracey's San Francisco 49ers (Tracey came away with bragging rights following the outcome of that contest). Every trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico since their first visit in 2009 was a special one for both Kelly and Tracey, as was spending time during the summer months at their RV at Sundre, AB.
Kelly will always be remembered for his positive outlook on life, his willingness to help during challenging times and his colourful fashion sense. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community.
