Condolences
I am sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. He was a wonderful man. I met him through the Schizophrenia Society, Calgary Chapter and The Clubhouse. Elisabeth, George and Rick
So sorry to hear of your loss Suzanne. There is an amazing bond made as a Hockey Husky even though some alums never meet. The stories, escapades and legends though are epic. It is the tradition and pride. My condolences go out to you and your family.
My sympathy to Peter's family.
I too, have many fond memories of Peter's contribution to Michigan Tech Hockey and the memories we shared with the team. John was especially close to the 1956-57 team who helped him establish a winning tradition for the Huskies. He often said that team could have made him or broke him since it was his first coaching job.
A new star has joined the heavens -well done, Peter!
Sincerely, Jerry MacInnes
My uncle "Pete" was my only uncle, and over the years, I developed a special bond with him. He was always supportive and interested in the lives of his niece and nephews. We kept in touch by phone and had many conversations, especially in the last 10 years of his life. Uncle Pete was a devoted husband and father and spoke about his family with great love and affection.
My uncle also developed a bond with my husband Brian, and it was our fervent wish that they should meet in person. Sadly, that wish did not come to pass.
I will always have fond memories of my uncle for his warmth and sense of humour. He will be sorely missed.
I am so saddened by this news. He was a favorite cousin. Pierre was such a kind, interesting and fun person. I remember when he came to California on an adventure with some of his hockey buddies when he was in his 20's. He had the capacity to listen as well as talk and it was always interesting to sit with him and chat or have a conversation on the phone. We had many of the same views on life.
When I last saw him about 4 years ago he was in a wheelchair but still his cheerful self. Always praising his wife and family.
He loved all of them dearly.
