Obituary of Lily SMITH

July 16, 1920 – Alsask, Saskatchewan August 25, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Lily beloved wife of the late Vernon James Smith of Calgary, AB, passed away on August 25, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Lily married her loving husband Vernon “Smitty” some 70 years ago. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and many close friends. Lily always exhibited a kind and generous spirit. She was a hard worker and a committed volunteer in many worthwhile endeavors. Lily touched many lives in a very positive manner over the course of her lifetime. She will be missed tremendously by all those who knew and cherished her warm and engaging personality and demeanor. Lily is survived by her two sons, Ron and Jim; daughter-in-law Marilyn; grandchildren Brent, Jenny, Bill, Derek and Shane; great grandchildren Annina, Cianna, Chloe and Chase; and sister Jean.
