We appreciated learning more about Rie from this loving write-up. You mention Rie's dedication to making beautiful memories for her family but she also created lovely memories for us through a collection of neighbourly interactions over the years.

Thinking about Rie, we remember her kind friendliness and her always cheery enthusiastic greetings. She would always pause to chat and inquire thoughtfully how you and family were doing. She was full of energy and interested. We would talk about your girls and holiday plans and plants and gardening. She offered us excess basil and we shared rhubarb and then she brought us a sample of her delicious rhubarb and oatmeal baking. Another time, early one morning, I remember her popping out to warn me you had had a skunk in the backyard that day. And still another time when she was laughing and explained you had just had a water fight with the girls and won.

We have loved having you as neighbours and are thinking of you and the girls and Rie often.

We first met Rie when she accompanied Roger on a Yukon/Alaska fishing trip, over the years we met the girls and spent time with Rie, she very much loved her girls, i attached à pic from 2023 where we all ent to the zoo, à memory which we will all charish. Rie's heart was always full of love, putting her family and others first without hesitation. Her kindness and caring nature touched our lives deeply. She was also full of warmth and passion. Rie was more than just a friend; she was like a big sister to us, always there with guidance, support, and love. We miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Roger and the girls.

Rie had the most beautiful soul and was the most caring person. This world is a better place because she was a part of it. She will forever be missed. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing her so soon. Sending my most heartfelt condolences to her beautiful family.

It always brightened my day when I saw Rie walking Flora and Ena to school, she always had such a cheerful and friendly wave for me and the other parents and friends she saw along the way. I will miss her and am devastated for the girls and Roger, and all of those whole loved and knew Rie.
