Condolences
I'm very sorry to hear of Mark's passing and my sincere condolences to all of his friends, family, and loved ones. I worked with Mark at ENMAX and he certainly taught me a lot over the years. One time I was fortunate to get a tour of some of the facilities from Mark and I'll always remember my time spent with him. You'll very much be missed, Mark.
I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing.
I have worked alongside Mark in my career, crossing paths every so often as work dictated or common interests crossed paths. He was such a good guy, always the same, always had time to chat, and always cared about what was going on in my life, when we reconnected. Great, Great guy, which had enormous impact in the industry we call home, he will be missed.
He spoke fondly of his family and always was a positive guy. Condolences, in this very tough time I'm sure. know that people are thinking of you, and hopefully this creates a small bit of solace in this very tough time.
Maureen,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Mark was my boss at ENMAX and he was such a wonderful person – so kind, humble and bright. For two years, our offices were next to each other and I learned so much from Mark. He was such a great mentor and I will miss him dearly. My sincere condolences to you, Valerie, Allision and the extended family.

I am so sorry for your loss, a great partner, and a great father and a solid friend. A steady Eddie engineer, with an impish sense of humour Mark had a great love for life from the small to the large and lived it well. I’ll miss him.
Maureen, Valerie and Allison,
I am so deeply saddened to hear about Mark passing away and hearing the news today. I have the fondest memories of playing with Val and Allison as we were neighbours in Shawnessy and going for dinner or having snacks in the kitchen and Mark would walk by, smile and nod as we were doing whatever we were doing. I was always so welcome in your house from playing in the backyard to our countless sleepovers. I remember playing on the playground in the yard that Mark put together.
Please accept my deepest condolences! I am sending you all hugs.
I also worked with Mark at ENMAX, and as I read through all the condolences, I just want to say “ditto” to all of the memories shared. As I walk past Mark’s desk every single morning (as I have done the past few years) I am sorely reminded of our loss of such a great person. He was ALWAYS sitting at his desk well before I arrived each morning, and the few (very few) times I beat him in, I would proudly tell him that I arrived before him! With a look of shock, he would smile, shrug his shoulders, and often say, we will see what happens tomorrow! He had a quiet yet great sense of humor - it’s been very somber at ENMAX, as we all try to navigate without our Mark. My sincere condolences to the Phillips family, I can only imagine your pain.
I met Mark many years ago when we both worked at TransAlta. He always struck me as "that guy who would always know way more than me". He was genuine, personable, and an entertainingly funny guy. It was a sad day when he left TransAlta to join ENMAX, but I was fortunate enough to follow his lead and do the same a year or so later. When I ran into him again at the ENMAX office, I was quickly reminded of all the reasons I liked him the first time around. Rest easy, my friend.
Deepest condolences to Mark's family.

Dear Maureen, Valerie and Allison,
I will always cherish the first memory I have of meeting Mark and Maureen at the new Bailey office in Regina in 1990! The office was filled with witty banter and lots of laughter. Many evenings we shared laughter over delicious homemade meals and became close family friends. Mark was like my big brother and I will miss him dearly! He loved all of you so much! xoxo
Maureen, Valerie and Allison,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Mark’s passing. We both have fond memories of working alongside Mark at Bailey and the fun times had with him and all of you at many social events over the years. Mark will be missed. Our deepest condolences. Our thoughts are with all of you.

My sincerest condolences to Mark's family and friends. I knew Mark as a work colleague and friend at ENMAX and I'm sure that the better someone knows Mark, the more acute the sense of loss. For me, he will be sorely missed, I always appreciated his sense of humour, his encyclopedic knowledge of specialty beverages and engineered systems systems alike. More than that, I appreciated his strong moral compass, his absolute professionalism as an engineer and his interest in making the world at large and Canada in particular a better place for all. Rest in peace.
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mark at ENMAX and he will be remembered for his incredible knowledge and intelligence as well as his generosity and kindness. He will be greatly missed.
Maureen, I am saddened by the news. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I'm saddened to hear of the loss of Mark. Mark and I were early childhood friends growing up in Brentwood, and our Mom's were friends when they were girls in Brooks. It had been many years since I spoke with Mark but thought of him often.
My condolences to the family.
I am deeply shocked and saddened by Mark's passing. My heart breaks for Maureen, Valerie and Allison. I have known Mark since he and Maureen started dating. I cherish the memory of being a bridesmaid at their wedding. That was a long time ago, and just as he was then he was now. Mark was kind, generous, witty, extremely intelligent and strongly committed to every facet of his life. He will be fondly remembered.

On behalf of the Knights of Columbus Council 12446 for which Br. Mark was a member of, please accept our sincerest condolences on your loss. May Br. Mark be welcomed to our Lord's embrace and be with him for eternity.
So saddened to hear of Marks passing. Mark and I worked closely together at TransAlta and Enmax and I very much enjoyed his professionalism and sense of humour. I recall an adventure to Venezuela to procure spare turbine components which turned into a kidnap avoidance journey with many laughs along the way. My sincere condolences to the family.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Mark's passing. He was a kind and warm-hearted person, and I will always cherish the memories of walking the puppies and spending time with your family. Please know that you are not alone in your grief. We are here for you, Maureen, and we will support you through this difficult time. Mark's spirit will live on in our hearts, and we will always remember him fondly. Always here for you, Deb, Wayne & Diesel.
I was extremely saddened to hear of Mark’s passing. While working together over the years, we shared a love of the NFL - just not the same team. Every time I see the Philadelphia Eagles, I think of Mark and the teasing I would get and give. He will be sorely missed by all of us. My condolences to Maureen and the rest of his much-loved family.
Maureen, Valerie and Allison
I am sorry for your loss. There is a great sadness felt by all here at work losing Mark and we are so happy to of had the privilege of working with him for a number of years. Mark will always remain part of our team here in Generation thru all the memories we made together, whether it be thru the many projects we worked on together, company events, many laughs at our desks or stories he shared with us.
Working together for so many years we were able to share our personal family stories so, even though I did not meet your family, I feel I have. I remember the many stories of vacations, the look of proudness when he was able to pull out one of his old university text books to help one of the girls figure out their homework when he didn’t know the answer (which was rare because he always had the answer), the excitement of travelling to Kelowna to meet the dog and then another to pick the dog up, the many talks about his daughters music adventure or the love of his favorite beverage he enjoy.
We will continue to enjoy the stories and laughs we made with Mark at the coffee station and share them with future Engineers that will join our Generation family. There are many valuable Markism’s to pass along to the future Engineers. You will remain part of our Generation family so please contact us if we can help in any way. We are all here for you. People are with us thru their short life but we have the privilege of holding memories of them thru our lifetime…. memories are one thing that are forever so Mark will forever be with us in our hearts.
Sending many hugs to your family
