Obituary of Deanna Norma Dardis

May 3, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

Deanna Dardis (nee Schroeder) passed away in Calgary, AB, on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the age of 84 years.

She was the heart of our family, and a cherished mother to her three children, Timothy (Lisa), Kathleen (John), and Michael (Shauna), all of Calgary, AB. Her grandchildren, Danielle, Riley, Keanna, and Paul, will forever remember her.

Deanna loved to cook, garden, and knit; she was also an avid reader. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and rarely lost a game of Scrabble.

Deanna was the sixth of fourteen children born to Ferdinand and Hilda Schroeder. She was born in Biggar, SK, and spent many years in the Okanagan Region of BC.

Deanna was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Harold, Lorne, and Clarence; and sister Shirley. She is survived by siblings, Earla, Joyce, Gladys, Ron, Larry, Sharon, Donna, Darlene, Fred, and their families.

Cremation has already taken place. A Private Celebration of Deanna’s Life will be held at a later date.
