Obituary of Evelyn Jennie MAYERSON

June 10, 1929 – Didsbury, Alberta August 23, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Mom passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the age of 85 years. She left with a heart full of love for the family and friends who have survived her. Mom was born in Didsbury, AB and graduated from Crescent Heights High School in Calgary. She worked for Canada Safeway in the accounting department until she retired. Evelyn spent much of her retirement caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. The love of her life, “Dipstick”, her cherished little dog passed away last year. Mom is survived by her children, Steve Mayerson, Kathy Mayerson, Chris (Michelle) Mayerson, John Mayerson, and Karen Motyka. She is also survived by Richard Motyka who was a son to her in every way; her grandchildren, Jessie, Ryan, Becka, Christopher, Sarah, Jenna, Jade, April, Sam, Zach, Danny, and Stephenie; and seven great-grandchildren. Appreciation goes to the amazing health care professionals on Unit 94 and the ER at Rockyview General Hospital and the fantastic EMS team that assisted mom during her time of need. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
