Condolences
Audrey was part of my life for over forty years and was at all festive occasion –every Christmas Eve, Easter Thanksgiving, and all birthday’s but the memory that I would like to share is about an East coast driving trip which Audrey, my daughter and I took from Halifax, through New Brunswick and along the St. Lawrence River to Quebec City and back.
When in Quebec City, it wasn’t the old architecture, or the ornateness in the walled city, it was the food that she was interested in. The food that she wanted however could not be found as it was split pea soup and we spent hours and went to over 15 restaurants looking for SPLIT PEA SOUP. It is in fact French, however I found out later from a good friend from Quebec, that no restaurant has it since it is what everyone eats at home.
Food was always important to Audrey and the most talked about feature of ever trip she took. She lived and ate well!!
