I have very fond memories of my time with Aunt Barbara. The best one is when we were hiking together. I was a teenager and Barbara’s youngest child Robert was hiking with us. We were walking very slowly as Robert was only four or five years old . As we walked around a bend in the path we came face to face with a cougar. Under Aunt Barbara’s advice we all walked backward very quietly until the cougar lost interest and stalked off our path.
