Condolences
I am very sadded to hear of Rena's passing. She was a pleasure to volunteer with. I volunteered with her at the Calgary Stampede for many years. She was the first person I looked for on the grounds. Rena was the kindest soul I had ever met, so hard working and just a gem in the community. May her gentle soul rest in peace
Gary and I were shocked and saddened to hear about Rena’s passing. Rena was a lovely kind and gentle lady. We have spent many days over the years with Rena on the ski slopes and sharing stories and laughter in Sunshine Lodge over lunch with the ever expanding group of ski friends. (and eating the famous chocolates!!). We would always meet Rena in the Coffee Shop for a chat in the afternoon and often give her a lift back to her family home in Banff (when we could convince her it was not out of our way!) at the end of the day. Gary and I were very lucky to consider Rena our friend and send our deepest condolences to her family.
Aidan and I are sorry to hear of Rena's passing. We are thankful that we had the pleasure of being welcomed into Rena's huge posse of lunchtime lovers of chocolate at Sunshine Village. A regular highlight of our visits to Canada was lunchtime at Sunshine. Rena always had a space and a warm welcome reserved for us at lunch. We've shared so many great times times there with Rena, discussing great runs, skiing conditions and her stories from the zoo and of Banff. We also shared way too many chocolates, but her selection was so varied, tasty and so endless! Sunshine will never be the same, but we'll be back and we will have a few chocolates in her memory.
Gary and Aidan
We are saddened to learn of Rena's passing and want to send condolences to her family and friends for their great loss.
We skied with Rena many, many years up at Sunshine Village. Rena was so kind and gentle and had a wonder personality with all. We all managed to share lunch time together and Rena had a "Never Ending" supply of chocolates which she shared with everyone after lunch. That was her "Thing", along with her bubbly, cheerful nature.
You were loved and will be missed.
Gail and Cheryl
Rena always filled our home with laughter. Always filled our hearts with love. Always ready to offer help. Always up to try new things. Always thought of with a smile. Forever grateful for all the memories, good times and celebrations.
Always remembered
Robert, Vonda and Robyn
