Dear Maria, children and grandchildren, Charlene and I want to extend our condolences to you in the loss of Bill. Bill was an unforgettable man, and a blessing in the Bethel congregation. We pray that his trust in the Lord, and his dedication to the life and ministry of the church, will live on in his children and grandchildren. We also pray, especially for you, Maria, that you will be strengthened and upheld by a firm confidence in God and in His Word, particularly in the words of Jesus, in John 11:25, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live." May the Lord continue to comfort you as you go forward without Bill, but, with the continued and faithful presence of God: "... I am continually with You; You hold my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward, You will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion ... for me it is good to be near God; I have made the LORD God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works." (Psalm 73:23-28)
