Obituary of Patricia Ann Cosburn

June 11, 1935 – Windsor, Ontario

May 20, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Patricia “Pat” Cosburn of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the age of 88 years.

Pat was born and raised in Windsor, ON. In her early 20s, she moved to Toronto and worked at Imperial Life Insurance where she met her future husband, Dale. She raised her family in Scarborough and volunteered for many church organizations (U.C.W.) (C.G.I.T.). Vacations were spent at the family’s cottage in Huntsville, where many laughs and memories were made.

In 1983, she and Dale relocated to Calgary and continued with cross-country trips to the cottage. They would spend their retirement years in Calgary for the winter, and Huntsville for the summer.

Pat was an avid bookworm, could crochet an Afghan in record time (and often did), and she was a knowledgeable movie trivia expert.

She will be remembered as a loving mother to Dave and Bill; sister to Victor and Laylie; grandmother to Kim (Billy) and Brad; great-grandmother to Atlas; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dale in 2006; and her daughters, Linda in 2003, and Ruth in 2009.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers who looked after Pat throughout the years; they were greatly appreciated.

As per Pat’s wishes, there will be "no fuss" for a funeral, however, there will be a Celebration of Life announced at a later date.
