Obituary of Rudolf Frans Rietveld

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rudolf (Rudy) Rietveld of Calgary, AB, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 85 years.

He had a great passion for community, friendship, family, and golf. He and his wife, Charlotte, were members of the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, for many years. He was the guiding light and positive influence for all that were fortunate enough to know him.

Rudy leaves behind his beloved friends and his two daughters, Monique (Jean-Marc) and Karin (Doug); four grandchildren, Justin (Jamie), Ashley, Levi (Adrianna), and Carly (Simeon); and two great-grandchildren, Bennett and Charlotte. He also leaves behind his older sister Anneke, who lives in the Netherlands.

A Celebration of Rudy’s Life will be held at the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club (12501-14 Street SW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.
