Obituary of Josefina Andalis

Jossie Andalis of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 83 years.
She was born on September 18, 1940, in Lumban, Laguna, Philippines, and graduated from Mary Chiles Hospital and Maternity School of Midwifery. She worked at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver and Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary until her retirement and was passionate about her church and her family. Jossie’s love for travel allowed her to experience the world and create many cherished memories.
She was predeceased by her cherished son Remus, and leaves behind her beloved daughter Johanna, and sons, Sonny, and James.
She was a proud grandmother of nine, and great-grandmother of three, with a special bond with each and every one of them. She will always be remembered for her style and warmth, and the love she had for her family and friends.
Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun
Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today
How nothing but our sadness, can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
Funeral Services will be held at Eastside City Church (1320 Abbeydale Dr SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
