Condolences
I worked alongside Jeff for more than a decade. He was a wonderful colleague with a great sense of humor, was always willing to lend a helping hand, had a passion for planning and helping clients, and a love for the Stampeders! He will be missed. Please accept my condolences.

Jeff was such a great colleague to all at RBC DS. He helped all of us to properly plan for our clients and he was a passionate professional who was fun to be around. Our daughters danced together at Western Canada High and we had several occasions to be proud Dads together at school events. Nobody beamed brighter about his kids than Jeff.
He helped so many of us plan retirements for clients, and I was saddened to realize that he would not get the time in life to enjoy his own sunset years. From myself, my family and our team, we send our sincere condolences to Susan, Thomas and Kristin, and wish you strength through these tough times. He will be fondly remembered by many.

Jeff was one of the first members of our team to welcome me and make friends. Over the years we've shared many great laughs and travel stories, as recently as at our conference in May. The island was ready for you Jeff! Maybe you'll visit in spirit. Sending love and prayers to your friends and family.
Jeff it's hard to belive that you are passed away. Just few weeks ago you told me "willing to work for sea salt" and we had plans to sail the Mediterranean. Jeff I'll always remember you for your sensei of humour and your interest towards different cultures and art. In the year 1995, Susan and I already rested our feet in Heremitage museum in St Petersburg while you found this to be one of your best days ever and continued enthusiasticly your tour around the museum. I also remember you as a happy new father in year 2000. Luckily we had one more change to meet again last summer here in Finland. Rest on peace Jeff althought you left too soon. Remembering you Päivi, Emma, Oula, Pauliina, Petra and little William. Strenght to your sorrow Susan, Thomas and Kristin.
My sincere Condolences to you guys. He was a pleasure to work with. He was fun to be around. We will miss him.
Tad
My sincere condolences for your loss Susan, Thomas, and Kristen.
Jeff was a good friend for many years. I am still in disbelief, expecting him to call me again with some joke, to see how I am doing, or to help him on some project or another.
I know he will be missed. May your fond memories of him give you strength and help carry you forward thru your grief.
Love,
Nick
Jeff was such a bright light. He would stop by my office and share a couple of "Dad" jokes and leave behind treats on a regular basis. He loved his work and was generous with his time and sharing his knowledge. He will be missed by many.
Susan, Thomas and Kristin, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that he'll live on with you forever because he was an unforgettably great husband, father and man.
Jeff and I shared many a laugh when we worked together as financial planners, gone too soon and he will be missed. Janet
Jeff was an amazing teacher and mentor at the workplace. I enjoyed learning from him and will forever cherish what he taught me.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Jeff's passing. While Jeff and I didn't interact on a regular basis, his presence as part of the team here at RBC made a real impact. I remember Jeff as kind with a great sense of humour - even when it took me a few seconds to catch up to where he was going. He'd look at me with that smile that said "keep thinking, you'll get it in a second” before we’d breakout into laughter.
Susan, my heartfelt condolences to you, Thomas, and Kristin. May you find peace and comfort in the memories you have of Jeff.
Tony
I had the privilege to work with Jeff for the last year. I like to think we connected immediately but I sense that is also just how Jeff made everyone feel. We have similar backgrounds and enjoyed sharing stories about the early days of financial planning software development. Jeff would send me notes of encouragement after presentations I delivered and I always appreciated his support.
He had a positive approach and always looked for ways to make impact be it in the business or in people’s lives. His advice and guidance was thoughtful, professional and exceptional. It was clear Jeff took pride in his work and his profession.
It goes without saying I will miss Jeff and I am grateful to have worked with him.
I am sorry for your loss,
Frans
My husband and I are very saddened to hear of Jeff’s passing, our sincere condolences to Susan and the children.
I first met Jeff in 1987 when we worked at Alberta Wheat Pool. He and Siroun Heal were my constant coffee partners throughout the 80’s and 90’s. Both of these wonderful people inspired and encouraged me to continue with my education and to attain my CMA as well.
The last time I saw Jeff was at my house last year when he and Susan, along with many of my AWP friends came over for an Indian dinner. I will remember that evening with fondness for the fun, laughter and comradery that we all shared.
I am grateful that I got to know Jeff as both a colleague and a friend.
Sincerely
Balvir & Jasvir Dhillon

My condolences to Jeff’s wife and children as well to my Uncle Victor and Kay. All of us Unruh kids spent a lot of time at our grandparents home when we were young.

My deepest condolences are with you. Jeff was a wonderful collogue, who always willing to help, proud of his work, enthusiastic in everything he does. His spirit will be here with us.
Sincerely sorry to hear of your loss,

Dave and I were remembering your visit with us in the Okanagan last year and how delighted Jeff was to go sailing with Dave. Dave, usually so reticent, was a chatter box with Jeff. It was very sweet to see the two of them so animated over sailing, like a couple of little boys. The thing I will remember the most about Jeff is his authentic, soft spoken, sweet nature. Susan, Thomas, and Kristin, you were blessed to have such a wonderful man in your lives. He really was a gem. Our hearts are broken.
Sincerely,
Evelyn (Dave) Wotherspoon
I had the pleasure of working with Jeff at Dominion Securities for 15 years. Jeff was a wonderful person: kind, funny, generous with his time and knowledge, gregarious and dedicated to his craft. He was also very authentic. What you saw is what you got.
To Susan, Thomas and Kristin I wish you peace and comfort as you navigate through this extraordinarily difficult time.
Sincerely,
John Simes
Dear Susan, Thomas and Kristin:
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
As you know, Jeff had a fun spirit. He was blessed with the ability to laugh at himself and not take himself too seriously.
Jeff frequently told me how fortunate he was to have such a wonderful wife, son and daughter, and, in particular, how pleased he was to see his son and daughter become such wonderful young adults. Jeff's love for his family was palpable (in each of the frequent conversations I had with him).
Sincerely,
Coady Cormier
