Obituary of Marcel Donat Joseph Proulx

January 16, 1937 – Otterburne, Manitoba

May 27, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcel Proulx, who left us peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 87 years. His long life was a testament to his strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

As a family, we plan to spread his ashes in the mountains, a place of cherished memories. These moments, filled with laughter and adventure, will forever be etched in our hearts.

He is survived by his son Roger Proulx and daughter-in-law Nga (Tran) Proulx; his daughter Louise Proulx and her partner Scott Lowry; his daughter-in-law Heather (Pilling) Proulx, his sister Jacqueline Proulx and her partner Danny Bereza; and his many beautiful grandchildren, of whom he was so proud, Chay, Spencer, Nicole, Danielle, Sophie, Isabelle, and Sebastien. Marcel is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with countless friends and those whose lives he touched. Marcel’s memory will live on through the stories we share and the love we carry forward.

Marcel was predeceased by his partner, Louise LeBleu, his son, Robert Proulx, and his siblings, Rita (Proulx) Jeanson, Eugene Proulx, Leonne (Proulx) Manaigre, Anne-Marie (Proulx) Philippot, Joseph Proulx, and Cecile (Proulx) Dube.

As per Marcel’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. We do invite all who knew Marcel to join us in a celebration of his life through memories and messages of love through his obituary condolences.
