Obituary of Susan Alyson Darling

Susan Darling, beloved wife of Kim Darling of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the age of 66 years.

Susan was born in Ottawa, ON, on May 12, 1958. She moved to Edmonton, AB, in 1980 where she graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton with a degree in Computer Sciences.

Susan moved to Calgary and married Kim in 1987.

She loved to travel, working out at the gym, and scrapbooking. Susan’s most memorable vacation was when she and Kim spent three weeks in Greece followed by a week-long cruise in the Aegean Sea visiting Istanbul and various Greek islands.

She will be most remembered for her kind heart, infectious laugh, beaming smile, and friendship.

Besides her loving husband, Susan is survived by her sister Linda (Bob) Jenkins of PEI, nieces, Robin (Nick) and Kim of PEI, and Allie (Jamieson) Smith of Ottawa. Susan is also survived by her grandnephews and nieces, Jordan, Hannah, Isla, Milo, Jett (Robin), and Holly (Allie). Susan will be deeply missed by her god-children Kelsey and Lucas Beadell. She was predeceased by her parents, Alison and Kaye Stafford.

A Gathering will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), in the Hospitality Centre on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
