Obituary of Donna Bernice Desjardins

December 13, 1948 – Montreal, Quebec

May 28, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Donna Desjardins, beloved wife of Ronald, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the age of 75 years.

Donna was born in Montreal, QC, on December 13, 1948. In 1968, she married Ronald in Montreal, and in 1976, they moved to Calgary.

Donna achieved much throughout her life and took great pride in her family and the strong friendships she nurtured. One of her most memorable experiences was an exciting mid-life adventure travelling throughout Europe with Ronald.

Donna will be remembered for her sense of humour, loyalty, generosity, devotion to loved ones, and her elaborate picnic lunches, always prepared with surprises and treats.

Besides her loving husband, Donna is survived by her daughter Christine (Stef) of Calgary, her two sons, Dennis (Kristi) of Calgary and Jonathan (Lina) of Montreal; and her two grandsons, Maxwell of Calgary and Dobromir of Montreal. Donna is also survived by her two brothers, Terry and Wayne in ON; her sister-in-law, Dorine, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her cherished friends, Diane, Chris, Heather, Gail, and Chantal, all of Calgary.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, Thelma and Arthur; and her sister Beverly, as well as her very dear friends, Karen and Melba.

Donna’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of her healthcare and service providers for their compassion, care, and assistance, as well as the Calgary PFS group, where Donna found so much support, information, and companionship.
