Obituary of Vernice Dorrine Saunders

Vernice Saunders, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the age of 97 years. Born on March 22, 1927, she lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Vernice is survived by her four loving daughters, Lamae, Lavern, Lenora, and Leanne. Her legacy extends through her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, James “Chuck,” and grandson Jace. She now joins them in eternal rest.
Vernice's life was marked by a passion for singing, cherished family card nights, and the exhilaration of casino and bingo evenings. These activities brought her joy and created lasting memories with loved ones and friends.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, grace, elegance, and joy will continue to inspire those who were blessed to have her in their lives.
Rest in peace, Vernice Saunders. Your love and light will continue to shine through the generations you have touched.
