June 10, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, Father, and Friend.

Braden Presley-James Buckle, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the age of 21 years.

Braden was born in Calgary, AB, on December 15, 2002.

Braden was such an amazing force of energy. His contagious smile would light up his eyes, brightening any room he entered. He was easily one of the funniest, brightest, most charismatic, mischievous, deep, and complex people on the planet. He had an old soul and a good heart.

He had a lifelong passion for music. With an expansive taste far beyond his years, you would often find him singing and dancing. He was also passionate about reading and the pursuit of knowledge, trying to answer his insatiable curiosities. He loved Basketball (Go Raptors), Football (Roughriders), and Hockey (Maple Leafs), both watching and playing with friends.

Braden enjoyed Wrestling (He dreamt of joining the WWE), MMA, and Boxing, even getting into sparring (thanks to Collin Hall). He liked Star Wars, video games, skateboarding, and food (the latter usually swimming in hot sauce!!!). He was proud of the man his little brother is growing up to be, proud to be a Dad, proud of himself when he got his first real job (thanks Sammy Kalaf) and made an impact on everyone he worked with there. Braden loved fiercely and put his heart and soul into everything. He was Ride or Die!!!

Braden found inspiration from many places, evident in his favourite quotes;

"I can do all things through Him who gives me strength."

- Philippians 4:13

"Do or do not. There is no try."

- Yoda, Star Wars

"Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes!!"

- Bill & Ted

As well as way too many Adam Sandler-isms to list. So, with that, we say, check ya later Angel Baby; you will be missed.

Braden is survived by his immediate family. Parents, Lona Lee Buckle & Preston Williams; His brother, Blaine Richter; Great-Grandmother, Hazel Lederer; favourite Cousin, Kenzie Andrew, the Ryall/Young Clan: A.J., Tracy, Fayth, Al and Barb. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He is also survived by his maternal Grandparents; Lonnie & Darin Herbel, Jim & Jody Buckle; as well as siblings, Evan & Reid Rankin, Jayla Nichol, Garrett Robideau and their families. Kathy Gardner and Aunt Jen. Way too many friends to list.

Braden was predeceased by Grandparents Blaine Gardner, Carol & George Richter, Aunt Nicole Lisowecki, and Great-Grandparents Sharon & Lester Buckle.
