Obituary of Mohinder Kaur Sidhu

Mohinder Sidhu (nee Gill), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 72 years.

Born in Chuhar Chak, India on August 3, 1951, Mohinder immigrated to Canada in 1976 and settled in Calgary in 1983. She was passionate about family, cooking, shopping, and spending time with friends.

She will be most remembered for her generosity, love, and kindness. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and left a lifelong impression.

Mohinder is survived by her son and her daughter-in-law, Devinder Sidhu and Jennifer Sidhu; as well as her furry grandson Rufus. She is also survived by her three brothers and their wives, Shamsher and Darshan, Manjit and Karamjit, and Daljit and Baljit; her two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jinder, Gurjit, and Amarjit; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mohinder was predeceased by her parents, Amar and Gurdev Gill.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Calgary Crematorium, 3219 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.
