We would like to commemorate the life of Maria Teti nee Spadafora who passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on September 24th, 2019.

Maria was born on August 4, 1932 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Calabria, Italy. Born to parents Angela Chiarello and Francesco Spadafora, and was raised alongside her six siblings. She married the love of her life Paolo Teti and had four daughters; Angela, Franca, Rosa, and Maria Paola, where they moved to Canada in 1966.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rosa (Robert), Maria Paola (Tim); her seven grandkids, Francesco, Franco, Paolo, Tino, Paul, Steven, Tyler; and her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Rosa (Bernardo), and brothers, Giuseppe and Giovanni; with son-in-law Salvatore, and sister-in-law Isabella.

She was predeceased by her husband Paolo, daughters, Angela and Franca; Siblings, Bernardo, Salvatore; and her parents, Angela and Francesco.

Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Blvd NW, Calgary, AB T3K 3M3), on Thursday, October 03, 2019 at 1:30 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.  Reception to follow in Ascension Parish Church.
