Obituary of Michael John Lemmer

January 19, 1954 – Bad Bentheim, Germany

June 24, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Michael John Lemmer (aka Sausage King), beloved husband of Brigitte Lemmer, of Calgary, AB, passed away after a lengthy battle with various cancers on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the age of 70 years.

 

Besides his wife Brigitte, Michael is survived by his stepdaughter Jennifer, siblings, Mechthild (Joe), Ursula (David), George (Vera); niece Bianca (Grinder), nephews, Luke, Andrew, Stephen (Jillian), and Christopher.  Michael is also survived by many relatives here in Canada and around the world. He was predeceased by his parents.

 

We would like to thank all of Michael’s friends and family for their support and help during this difficult time, especially Ken, Barry, Susie, Kevin, Daniel, Gunner, Zolie, Cousin Michael, and all the people who helped with the renovations.  That list is very long. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the cancer clinic for their efforts and the loving care they provided Michael, and also, to the nurses and doctors at the dialysis clinics for their exceptional support.

 

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Centennial Calgary Branch 285 (9202 Horton Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Michael’s family here.
