Condolences
I first met Juanita 45 years ago in Calgary and immediately was taken by her warmth, sweetness, and humour. She was always smiling! I remember being invited for dinner many times but it was ´Uncle Ray’s breakfast ´ that I’ll never forget! To John, Ginny, and Kris, I sent my deepest sympathy.
John and family: am very sorry to hear of your loss . I have heard many wonderfull things about her from Karen. Please accept my condolences.

As a friend of Colleen’s , I met Juanita when I was young at the Buckley home. John and Juanita were home visiting … young themselves. What a beautiful woman …and the love she and John displayed, amazing.
Thinking of you all.
When we were introduced to Juanita, the first time, the whole Buckley family fell in love with her. Love at first sight. She remained a beautiful presence, gracious, kind, always engaging. Juanita was someone you just wanted to be with. Our deepest sympathy to my brother John and his children; my first niece, Ginny and her young Jett, to my nephew Kris and his wife Sarah and their children Nick and Kate. And we will ‘graciously’ spread kindness in Juanita’s honour. It is such a beautiful request. With love Nancy and Ross
I had the good fortune of growing up in the 80's in Bragg Creek across the street from the Buckleys.
They were a kind, warm, and wonderful family. Juanita was a rare soul, angelic in nature. Beautiful on the inside and out. As life turns out, 35 years later I discovered their daughter Ginny living across the street from me in Calgary and we are neighbors again. I’m so grateful I was able to see Juanita recently, timeless and unchanged. She was exactly as I had remembered her, a true picture of love, health and happiness.
The news of her passing is devastating. My heart goes out to John, Ginny, Kris and family.
Our deepest love and strength to you John, Ginny, Kris & Sarah, Nick, Kate and Jett. Juanita was beautiful inside and out. Her sparkling, mischievous eyes watching life in every form and a heart so full of love shared to family, friends and all critters who were fortunate to have crossed her path anywhere she travelled. Juanita, a sister in law we shall love and remember fondly and always.
Love, Colleen and Dugan
Dear Uncle John, Ginny, Kris and family - we are sending you so much love and strength, Aunt Juanita was always a big cheerleader for my creative endeavours and she lived a truly inspiring life. She will be deeply missed but I know her spirit will live on in everyone blessed to have known her.
All of our love, Lindsay & family
Dear John, Ginny and Kris & family, I am so sorry for the great loss of your wife and Mom. Juanita was every bit as beautiful as described in the obituary. We loved her like a sister and will miss her light-hearted phone calls. Her art is a treasured momento in my living room. Thanks for bringing beauty and grace into our wounded world Juanita. Your spirit lives on in so many ways. Mary Buckley
As a dear sister in law, Juanita has been in lives for over 53 years. Always being a guiding light to John and to all the lives she touched and shared. To my brother John, Ginny, Kris, Sarah, Nick, Kate and Jett, we loved Juanita dearly and she will remain in our hearts forever. God bless her beautiful soul, all our love Frank and Lisa xoxo
John, Ginny, Kris and families:
My heart grieves with yours for such a beautiful, tender soul I came to know over the past 5 years. I will miss her warmth and kindness. As Ginny so aptly put, she could have been anything, but chose to invest her life and love in her husband and family. I witnessed that love and devotion on many occasions and can’t imagine the profundity of your loss. May the heaviness of your hearts find comfort and relief in the relationships you’ve built over many years. May heaven’s chorus of angels find pleasure in the accompaniment of a pianist so competent and skilled as I’m sure Juanita was. God’s grace and mercy fall gently upon you all.
Love and hugs,
Roy Ooms
Johnny and I are saddened to hear about the loss of Juanita! We have so many fond memories of our girls going back and forth between houses with lots of laughs. We remember Juanita’s love of animals and rescuing a few that had lost their way. I always admired her for her artistic abilities, adventurous spirit, love of nature and kindness. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Sending love and hugs to John, Ginny, Jet, Kris and family. xoxoxo
So very sorry to hear about the loss of Juanita. I have fond memories growing up in Redwood Meadows with Ginny and Kris. I will always remember Juanita as a gentle, kind and generous lady. Always welcoming me when I came over. If we needed rides anywhere, she always offered. Whenever I hear the song “Carribean Queen” I always think of her as we all would be singing together in the car. Sending all my love and condolences to John, Ginny, Jett, Kris and family. May she rest in peace. Love and hugs, Kelly xoxo

We are so sorry to hear of Juanita's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.
Visits from Aunt Juanita and Uncle John were always exciting! We loved to go on adventures with these two. Juanita always having a big smile and ready to explore the next exciting thing. She will be remembered for many of her glowing qualities including her big heart, big smile, incredible talents and zest for life. Lots of love to John, Kris and Ginny.
Our deepest sympathies to your family. It’s been 50ish years since I last saw Juanita, but the memory of her is etched in my brain. I will always remember her as a beautiful young lady with the sweetest voice and personality. Obviously from the pictures her beauty remained, and from the comments her personality stayed unchanged. You who are so close to her will miss that sweet voice forever and I feel deeply for you.

We have been privileged with a friendship of some 14 years with John and Juanita as a loving, gracious and devoted couple. Patrick met them in his Spanish class here in San Miguel. We have had many fun times and fine meals together exploring local restaurants. We will miss this and miss Juanita always, and send our love to John, Ginny and Kris and families knowing her heart and spirit was and always will be wirh them. Juanita, with her quiet, gentle, elegant manner…you would never imagine the talent and strength of this amazing woman. Her beauty radiated. She will be always in our hearts also and we cherish her memory. Patricia and Patrick
John,Ginny and Kris, thank you for the beautiful tribute to my sister. Juanita was a special person, she made this world a better place. Her love of life was felt by all who knew her including the many animals she rescued and loved. I was so proud of her and loved her dearly. I will miss her until I see her again. I love and appreciate her wonderful family too, you are all special .
Juanita was such a special and unique person. She was also a very gifted artist. We have the privilege of having two of her pieces. We thought of her often when we looked at her incredible work. We showed many friends her art and her precise and meticulous attention to detail. Because who she was and her giving and wonderful talent, she has a special place in our hearts forever.
This is a sad time. Our deepest condolences John, to you and your family.

Besides her ever present heartwarming smile and her many talents, Juanita had the patience and kindness of a saint, witnessed by the fact that quite a few times when I got to the office at nine AM I would call her just to say hi, not realizing that the time in Calgary was only six AM. Never once did she mention the time or chastise me. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
It is with regret that I say goodbye to Juanita, at The same time grateful that her spirit will be With all of us that ever was graced by her presence. Dear John, I will so miss you and Juanita peeking Between the plants of your terrace for our neighbor chats, And what am I gonna do without the muffin lady? I can never make muffins as good as Juanita’s! Juanita’s warmth, kind spirit, and ready smile will live on in everyone she came in contact with. Much love to you all, even though I have not met Juanita‘s extended family.
John, Ginny, and Kris - There are no words to describe the sadness that Ann and I felt upon learning of Juanita’s passing. She was a remarkable person who made those around her feel extra special. She always had a smile and greeted everyone with genuine warmth. Ann, Kristy, Nicole and I have fond memories of our stay with you in Bragg Creek. It is painful to have such a profound loss but equally profound was the love you all shared with your wife and mother. May that love sustain you in the days ahead as you reflect upon the incredible person you had the opportunity to share life with all these years.
Sending our love,
Randy & Ann
