Linda Appelt (nee Liebrecht), beloved wife of Bjorn Appelt of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the age of 74 years.
Linda was born in Calgary, AB, on December 14, 1949, and studied Social Work at the University of Calgary.

Linda married Bjorn on July 15, 2001, at St. Martin’s Church at Heritage Park in Calgary.
She had a passion for swimming and loved being a lifeguard in her youth. Linda enjoyed painting and met regularly with a group of friends to paint. She was also an excellent cook; with a large collection of recipe books, she enjoyed trying new recipes.
Linda was most passionate about her family. Her children and her three granddaughters meant the world to her, and she never missed an opportunity to enthusiastically say how proud she was and how much she loved them. Family meals and gatherings were her absolute favourite.
Linda was smart, strong, kind, and gritty, with the biggest heart. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, love of family, animals, seafood, and warm, sunny weather.
Besides her loving husband Bjorn, Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela Weber and Sean Weber of Calgary; her son and daughter-in-law, Jason Buhasz and Grace Maker of Calgary; and three grandchildren, Fife Weber, Eavan Weber, Hannah Buhasz, all of Calgary.
