Obituary of Scott Andrew Robinson

Scott Robinson passed away suddenly on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the age of 63 years. Scott was a caring husband, father, son, brother, friend, and valued colleague, who touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his work and community.

Scott was born to Douglas and Marilyn Robinson, on October 1, 1960. Scott's career began as a seasonal contractor, managing major events at Spruce Meadows while residing in Ontario. His passion for the industry brought him to Calgary, where he joined Great Events Catering as a banquet supervisor. His hard work and leadership quickly shone through, leading to his transition into a full-time role. Scott's dedication and talent earned him the position of Corporate Catering Sales Manager, where he excelled and made a lasting impact.

It was at Great Events Catering that Scott met his beloved wife, Yetzi. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their two daughters, Ana Sophya and Samantha M. Scott. He was a devoted husband and father, known for his deep love for his family and his tireless efforts to support and care for them.

Beyond his professional achievements, Scott was known for his generous spirit, kindness, and willingness to help others. His presence in the community and at Great Events Catering will be deeply missed.

Scott was a cherished member of Great Events Catering for nearly 30 years. His legacy of dedication, kindness, and excellence will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and the many clients he served throughout his career.

A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at Spruce Meadows Congress Hall, (18011 Spruce Meadows Way SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family would appreciate if family and friends wear blue attire and bring a rose in honour of Scott’s memory.
