Glen Risling

Obituary of Glen Leo Risling

April 13, 1957 – Kerrobert, Saskatchewan

July 6, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Glen Risling, beloved husband of Linda Risling, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Priddis, AB, at the age of 67 years.

Glen was born on April 13, 1957, in Kerrobert, SK, and was a graduate of Holy Cross School. He was a dedicated member of the Mopar Group and volunteered with the Priddis Fire Department, as Deputy Chief and an EMT for twelve years. Glen was also the proud owner of Risling Exteriors Ltd, a family business that he established in 1984, and one of the founding members of the Siding Contractors Association of Alberta.

He had a passion for Mopar cars, especially Dusters. Glen’s love of cars came after he bought his first 1971 Duster as a teenager. He also loved boating, fishing, and hunting, which brought him great joy. He was a beekeeper and honey maker. He loved gardening and spending time outdoors with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Glen always had multiple projects on the go, and he led a successful, busy, and fulfilling life. He always remained humble and down to earth through out his life. There was never dull a moment at the Risling house. He always believed there was a little good in everyone, and he helped so many people with a kind and open heart.

Glen will be most remembered for his kind heart and his love of life, his wife, and his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who have offered their support during this difficult time.

Glen leaves behind his beloved wife Linda, children, Yvonne, Shaun, Ryan, and Jessie; grandchildren, Oakley, Daisy, Brayson, and Zoey; his mother Alvina, and sisters, Lynne and Debbie; and brother Dale.

He was predeceased by his father Leo, and brother, Perry.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

- 2 Timothy 4:7
