To Matt and Mark's family.

It was with a heavy heart that we learned of Mark's recent passing. What a shock and loss. We just met with Mark at the end of June. Carolyn is thankful for the big hug he gave her.

We had gotten to know Mark over the past year as he weaved his creativity and inspiration with the design of our new Empire home. His creativity, passion elegance and steadfast practicality really helped us. We will have many good memories of Mark as we enjoy our new home knowing it was the home that Mark designed.

Dear Matt Delore Heather Greg and loving family and friends, we cannot imagine your pain and despair right now. Nothing makes any sense. John and I met Mark through Empire Homes. We immediately had a connection and admired his strong professional ability. However we soon began to fall in love with his love with his infectious sense of humour and his love of life and adventure. Mark became our dear friend. Our daughter Olivia soon joined the Club! We had many hilarious escapades with Mark where we would laugh until we cried. I cannot believe that I am now crying for his loss. Mark was a special soul and we will love him and remember him always! As parents you can be so proud of the man he became ! Hugs to you all John and Johanna Lowman

There are no words to express our heartfelt condolences. Mark was a wonderful guy and the best friend and mentor to our daughter Kristen. He was always cheerful, kind, welcoming and helpful when I came into Empire. He just had that pleasant, friendly air about him. My husband and I have been clients of Mark’s since 2016. He was a brilliant designer and such a genuine person.

Mark would show up at our home with a radiant smile and we would share stories of life, family and our fur babies before launching into ideas for our next project.

We will truly miss him.

My deepest heartfelt thoughts are with you today as you recall the little boy he was and the young man you are going to miss forever.

I had never met Mark, but knowing both Heather and Delore I am sure he not only contributed a creative flair to all that he did,

must of been a kind kinda guy that laughed alot!

Mark's father sat behind me , in my grade 8 Town School experience years ago.

I just want Delore and Heather know, that Mark was fortunate to have you both as parents. He picked you, just as he picked his time to leave.

Mark was a natural talent and I considered it a privilege to work along side him. As a parent, I've always believed that the greatest tragedy in life is for a parent to outlive their child. A parent can only hope that the life cut too short was a life fulfilled. Mark loved what he did and it showed. He gained admiration and acknowledgements from industry, from his peers and clients, fostered so many meaningful friendships, experienced the finer things in life, traveled, found love and built a life with his husband Matt, and had a presence that lifted anyone around him. As short as it was, his life was a beautiful story that was fulfilled with love and memories. He was a gift, a vibrant soul that touched this world and made it better for all who knew him. I'll miss you Mark, we all will.
