July 13, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Wayne Donald Mullen, beloved husband of Rolande Mullen (nee Boucher), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the age of 60 years.

Wayne was born in Calgary, AB, on October 27, 1963, and as a child lived in several places in Alberta before moving to High Prairie where he attended school, and in early 1983, met the love of his life.

Wayne moved back to Calgary in late 1983, and Rolande followed in early 1984. In November 1987, Wayne married Rolande.

He accomplished so much throughout his life; with his construction career of over forty years, and with many friendships and acquaintances being made throughout his years.

As well, for Wayne, family was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, reminiscing about the past, present, and plans for the future.

Wayne was able to cross off a wish of being able to travel to Ireland, which was on his bucket list. He has always enjoyed the history of this country and where his ancestors came from.

Besides his loving wife, Wayne is survived by his pride and joys, daughter Natasha, and two sons, Ryan (Kaitilin Zarowny-Roth) and Shaun (Kori-Anne Clark); as well as three grandchildren, Zander Mullen, William Perin, and Callie-Ann Mullen. who all reside in Calgary.

Wayne is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Leland (Willy) Mullen, Brian (Florence) Mullen, and Bonnie Mullen; nieces and nephews, Lloyd (Laura) Mullen, Curtis (Sonia) Mullen, Ken (Tiffany) Mullen, Christine (Hector) Daradick, Shana (Phoenix Hertzsprung) Mullen, Alisha (Colby Wandeler) Mullen, Connor (Emma Plumridge) Mullen, Kaila (Dean) Young, Travis Mullen, and Britni Mullen; as well as nine great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Ilene Mullen; brother James Mullen, sister Charlene Mullen, and nephew Richard Mullen.
