Tyson Blaine Black Horse of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 38 years.
Our beautiful Tyson, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are now with your loved ones, may you rejoice with The Angels.
Tyson was known for his intelligence, humour, his big heart, and compassionate, kind-hearted soul. He was a very outgoing person, and was fond of playing sports, especially basketball. He equally enjoyed drawing and reading; he was a talented artist. Tyson loved his family and friends.
Tyson will be dearly missed by his one and only daughter Mya Sage Black Horse, mother Delphine Black Horse, traditional father Wesley Yellow Fly, his brothers, Mario, Sonny (Kim), and Christian; aunties, Norvena (Stan), Marcia, and Della (Jerome); auntie/mom Marisa (Danny), uncles, Leonard (Rhoda), Kirk (Lorna), Kelly, Clint, and Mike; traditional sisters, Sherry, Nellie, Tracy, Lillian (Pun), Crystal Cardinal, and Brooke; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved unconditionally.
Tyson was predeceased by his partner Christa Cachene, his father John Yellow Wings-Little Light, sister Stacey Yellow Wings, grandparents, Wendy Little Light and John Yellow Wings Sr., Leonard and Marina Black Horse; cousins, Bronco, Jason, Jodi, Bradley, Jeffray, baby Jewlz, and baby Joshua; aunties, Vivian and Lenora; sister-in-law Larissa Knife, as well as Shyla Black Horse, Bradley Black Horse, Jackson R. Carrier, Kessler Pipestem and Seth Blackhorse.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Marisa Black Kettle (Map 1A House 518, Siksika Nation, AB) on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at St. John The Divine Anglican Church, North Camp (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
