Obituary of Jayden Delain John Gray

December 31, 2006 – Wetaskiwin, Alberta

July 20, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Jayden Gray of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the age of 17 years.

Jayden was our shining light, with a smile so bright and contagious you couldn’t help but smile back. He was a kind, loving, strong, and fierce young man. Honest, blunt, and raw in the most amazing way.

In the words of his friends, he was hardworking, easy to talk with, and always made time for his friends. Another said he was a badass, tough, kind, and understanding. Jayden always had your back. Someone else mentioned that Jayden was a young idol they looked up to, even though he was younger.

He was never petty; whatever he would say behind you is exactly what he would say in front of you. We learned many lessons from him in the short period of time we got to spend together.

Jayden was passionate about music and a great guitar player. He loved to share his passion with so many people.

Most important to him was family. His love of family was so strong. Family came first, Jayden’s bond with his siblings was unbreakable. He was a dedicated, young father, who had many hopes and plans for his young son, Jacob. He was a strong and hardworking man who took his role as the provider of his family seriously.

He faced life’s challenges fearlessly, always finding a way to see the bright side of life.

We are deeply grateful for the brief time we shared with Jayden; he will be dearly missed by all. Forever and always loved, admired, and missed.

He now lives in our hearts and memories, and through his son, Jacob. ❤️

Jayden is survived by his son Jacob Shawn Morris Gray and his partner Lexie Jean McConnel. He is also survived by his mother Sheila Gray, father Shane Louison, four brothers, Ryley Gray, Syris Louison, Easton Razor, and Brixton Gray; three sisters, Kiley Louison, Cassidy Louison, and Raven Razor; his “Nana” Cindy Gray, great-grandparents, “Nanny” Marcella Briggs, and “Papa” Ed Gray; his great-uncle Cory Gray, great-aunt Melissa Louison, his uncle Eric Gray, aunt Carrie Pardy, cousin Zye Asher Louison, great-aunts, Sherry Gray, Ruby Smith, Christine Cardinal, and Gladas Cardinal; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
