Condolences
Maureen you will be sadly missed by all who knew you.
I didn’t know you as an adult but you were an infant in your father’s arms when John and I came to Calgary on our honeymoon. You probably don’t remember Uncle Bazil meeting us at the bus stop when we came to Calgary. I told everyone he joined us on our honeymoon. As you became a teenager and came to Downeyville on your vacation, you also spent a week with us in Brampton. I remember taking you to church at St.Mary’s and introducing you to Leigh and Sue’s friends. Now you have joined Rita and Mike, please give them a hug for me.
My sincere condolences to your wife, your sister, brothers and extended family. Sorry I didn’t get to see more of you as you were growing up.
Donna (Downey) Spicer❤️
Our thoughts are with the Murtha family on Maureen's passing. We are praying for her and you and happy to have known her. She was a great friend to the Downey family.
Dan and Vicki Downey.
Though we never met in person, I will miss you cousin. My sincere condolences to the family and friends.
Maureen was always giving of herself and so very kind in many ways. I will never forget when she surprised me with a 65th birthday shirt. My deepest condolences to you Charity and to all the family. Gone too soon.
My dearest Maureen, I wish we had kept in touch from our years together at the Bay but I am so glad we met last year when you were up in Edmonton. Your kind heart is the reason we made you Godmother to our son Dean. God rest your soul. Nick Ciampanelli and family.
Maureen, my dear cousin. Thank you for your endless humour. I was too young to have remembered meeting you at one of our family reunions, but you always made me feel connected via social media.
I will never forget the most kind and selfless gesture, when you passed along family memorabilia to my family that belonged to the grandmother that none of us got to meet. It was such a generous, thoughtful, and selfless act, and I will forever treasure receiving that package in the mail. My sincerest condolences to your dear wife, and extended family. Your presence will be missed. Xo
Maureen you will be truly missed. I will miss your letters and messages and seeing all the updates about life in the wild west.
I'm deeply saddened to hear about Maureen's passing. She was such a kind and giving person, always one of the first to reach out with supportive words when my mom wasn't well. It's a great loss, and I am sorry we won't have the chance to meet again. The St. Greg’s Gang has remained a close-knit group over the years, and Maureen was a wonderful part of that connection. I send her family prayers of comfort during this difficult time.
This is a devastating loss. I have known Maureen for most of my life and think of her as one of the kindest people I know. We did not see each other as often lately but whenever we did it felt like no time has passed. Maureen was the first to reach out whenever times were tough, and genuinely cared for those close to her. The world will not be the same without her. We will miss you Maureen
