Mitchell "Mitch" Skoropata, beloved husband of Joan Skoropata, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the age of 82 years.

Born on July 16, 1942, in Stonewall, MB, Mitch was one of nine siblings. His parents, Nicholas and Rose Skoropata, predeceased him. Besides his loving wife Joan, Mitch is survived by his two sons, Mitchell and Douglas; his three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brett, and Sarah; and his four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Arden, Elliott, and Bennett. He is also survived by his four brothers, Gordon, David, Jimmy, and Tony; and his four sisters, Irene, Linnet, Diane, and Marie.

One of Mitch's greatest achievements was his family. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took great pride in their accomplishments. Mitch was a true outdoorsman and loved spending his time hunting and fishing. He enjoyed time at his property at Gull Lake, AB, where he spent countless hours exploring, having fun, and creating memories with his loved ones.

He also had a love for travelling and had many memorable vacations exploring much of Canada with his family. He would always say that there was no need to go anywhere else in the world because Canada had so many beautiful places to explore. Throughout his career, he worked with computers and in construction.
