Dear Sheila; We send our sincere condolences to you and all the family. We hope time and special memories will help ease your loss.
We will always remember and cherish the wonderful times we had on our visits--especially the overnight ones.
Ours was a friendship short in years, but one that will be long in memories.

We were so sorry to hear about Alan.
Bonnie and I met Alan when we were interns and Alan, a General Surgeon, was one of our supervisors at the Regina General Hospital in 1987- 88. He was a lovely man, who always showed caring and compassion for his patients, while also having a keen sense of humour. He showed us it was alright to relax with patients and make them laugh. He would disarm people in this way. He was also an excellent surgeon (quite something for an anesthesiologist to say!).
He was a wonderful role model for us. Alan took us under his wing. He and Sheila had us over for dinner. They kept in touch with us over the years, and we have embraced the lessons of Alan throughout our years of medical practice.
We will miss his annual Christmas letter.
Please accept our condolences.
Sheila, we send our love.
We have wonderful memories of a wonderful man.

Dear Sheila and family, Deborah and I were saddened to learn of Alan’s passing. He was always very good company at Les Marmitons. Cooking with him ensured a very enjoyable evening. I also enjoyed our corridor chats when our paths crossed in the ORs at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Our condolences.

Dear Mrs. Bartlett and family,
My sincere condolences on the loss of Dr. Bartlett. He was an excellent surgeon and very kind to patients and to the housestaff. May you have much support at this sad time and may he rest in God's peace. Take care of each other. Sincerely,
