Our deepest sympathy. We have been neighbours of Martha and George for 47 years, and we fell in love with this wonderful couple. We have many memories to share, but here are a few: When we went on holidays, they watched our dog; after a huge storm when our trees bent, George tied them to the fence and assured us the trees will recover, and they sure did; after George and Martha renovated their patio, we were the fortunate recipients of all of the bricks that we have to these days. John and Jane and families - I knew your mother and father before you two were married - so long ago. Her friend Joan Gelineau and us were working colleagues and above all friends from the Local Board of Health days in Bowness in the 70’s. My husband and I ate many a superb meal in their lovely home. She was a true friend in all things and it saddens me to hear of her passing. We ended separated by distance but not in memories. My sincerest condolences to each of you and yours. Gloria Hemming
