Condolences
Dennis was a good friend. Went to school together. Mom and Dad and us kids were Often invited on Sundays for Evie’s famous fried chicken on the farm. That was the best chicken, ever. Played hockey together where he skated between a Hanna player in a rough game, that was “lining me up for a blind-side hit” on me to protect me. We worked together in the oil patch at Nowsco. He was a fighter in life. I traded Den cars for Deb and his honeymoon. His car was running a little rough at times and why was difficult to determine. So I wrote a note on a napkin at the wedding reception telling the police who stopped him for speeding that the Transam he was driving was not stolen but borrowed for his honeymoon. So give the newly weds a break and no speeding tickets please. Signed with my phone number and name. Eventually I discovered it was a cracked distributor cap causing rough running under a load for his car. A few weeks later, we traded vehicles back with his fixed and a full tank of gas for him. Den tried to repay me. Told him to stop insulting me. Give me my keys. Consider it a wedding present. Life-long friends are hard to come by and are always cherished. Driving together between Calgary and Kindersley there were very few silent times. Conversations came easy between us. He is missed. Condolences to Deb et al. Ian and Laurel McConnell.

We are thinking of you and the family at this difficult time.
How thankful I am that we were able to meet a year ago. I remember Dennis's warm and loving spirit as we ate together, and how he kept calling us Cousin! I am so sorry for your loss and sending all my love.
Dear Deb and family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dennis will be missed
Thinking of you and your family during this sad and difficult time.
