Tetiana Kis, beloved partner of Mykola Slobodian, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the age of 38 years.

Born on May 21, 1986, in Huliaipole, Ukraine, Tetiana was a remarkable woman who brought light and joy into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her vibrant spirit, boundless energy, and genuine kindness made her truly one-of-a-kind. Tetiana’s love for life was matched only by her deep devotion to her family, particularly her parents, Kis Yurii and Kis Nataliia, whom she adored with all her heart.

Throughout her life, Tetiana was guided by a strong sense of love and duty toward her family. When challenging times arose, she acted with courage and determination, ensuring that her parents were safe and cared for, ultimately helping them to relocate to Norway. Her selflessness and strength in the face of adversity were a testament to her character.

Tetiana had always dreamed of moving to Canada, and she pursued that dream with unwavering determination. When she finally made it to Calgary, Alberta, she found herself in the land of new beginnings she had longed for. Tragically, soon after realizing her dream, Tetiana was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the diagnosis, she faced each day with immense courage and an unyielding love for life, continuing to spread joy and kindness wherever she went.

Tetiana’s circle of friends, scattered across the world from London to Canada, Norway to Ukraine, held a special place in her heart. She valued these friendships deeply and often spoke of the happiness they brought her. Even in her final days, she longed to be with her friends once more, to share in laughter and create memories together.

Tetiana was a truly special person, someone who embraced life with an open heart and an infectious joy. Her kindness, generosity, and love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories of her bright spirit and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Calgary Crematorium, 3219 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
