Obituary of Colleen Ellen Repchinsky

September 26, 1952 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

August 27, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Colleen Ellen Repchinsky passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, with Ray at her side.

Colleen was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s dementia and made the brave decision to undergo MAID, as she could not bear the thought of the long-term effects of this incurable illness.

Colleen was preceded by her mother Hilda and her father Orest. She is survived by her husband Ray Antony, her son Devin Antony (Laura), her two grandchildren, Cameron and Jameson, and her sister Carol Repchinsky.

Colleen grew up in Dodsland, Saskatchewan, she attended Kindersley Composite High from 1967 to 1970, where she met her husband, Ray Antony. Colleen graduated from the University of Saskatchewan Law School in 1975. She moved to Calgary in 1975 and held several legal corporate posts over the next 25 years.

Colleen and Ray spent many wonderful years together. Colleen loved to travel, and they traveled the world extensively over a 40-year period. On many of those trips they were accompanied by their son, Devin. Colleen also enjoyed fine dining and a good bottle of champagne.

Colleen had a special spot in her heart for dogs and always owned a dog. Over the years, her dogs Bootsy, Tony, Joey, Oreo, and Ollie loved her unequivocally.

We will all miss her dearly.

A private funeral service will be held in the coming days.
