Obituary of Susanne Kinas

August 14, 1935 - Felsenbach, Germany

August 9, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

Our beloved mother Susanne Kinas (nee Loewen), went home to her Lord and Saviour on August 9, 2024, just shy of her 89th birthday.  She was predeceased by her son Fred (Jenny) in 2010 and husband Gustav in 2012.

She is survived by her children, Eduard (Denise), Eleanor (Rick), Karen (Sean), and Allan (Melissa); nine grandchildren, Justin, Chantelle, Danielle (Connor), Lane (Holly), Carmen, Allan (Vivienne), Cameron, Katie (Ralph), Grant (Fio), and one great-grandchild Audrey.

Family meant everything to Mom. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  She was determined to live long enough to meet and get to know her first great-grandchild.

The family would like to acknowledge the tender, loving, and compassionate care of the doctors and nurses at Dulcina Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday August 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Susanne's service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
