Condolences
Mary and Family,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Seeing you and Pat at Canadian Martyrs Parish, Invermere, was a highlight during Sunday morning Mass and Pancake breakfasts and pot luck dinners and parish council meetings. Garage sales and Stations of the Cross… Thank you, Pat! Thank you for leading us and showing us the path towards stronger Faith. ‘Till we meet again! RIP
Pat was truly an exceptional and amazing man, uncle, husband, father, brother who will be missed by all who knew him. He, Aunt Mary and their children would visit my mother and my grandparents in Kamsack every summer without fail. My grandparents had also built a cottage at Madge Lake and we so enjoyed the time that we spent with them, these were happy summers growing up with family. Uncle Pat was the kindest man, so caring and giving, he would not hesitate to help anyone in need. May he rest in peace, it’s heartbreaking to say goodbye to someone as wonderful as Uncle Pat was, he touched many lives and had the biggest heart. He will always be remembered and I cherish the memories I had with him. God had gained another angel. My absolute deepest condolences to Aunt Mary, Michelle, Patti. Dan and Mary-Kate for their loss, he will be forever missed.
Pat was a man of faith, a family man and a man with a work ethic that we could all admire. Pat's question would be, " What needs to be done?" and his answer would be ," Well let's get to it!". He will be dearly missed but has earned his place of rest. May he rest in peace.
Mary and Don Checkley
